Hi, I'm Jimmy McLoud. I'm a husband, dad, pastor, and leadership coach.
I was born-and-raised in the rust belt, right outside of Youngstown, Ohio. After a few years in coastal North Carolina, I’ve been back home for more than 15 years now. I’m married to my best friend, Ashley. We have two crazy boys, Braylon and Carter, and a beautiful little girl named Ellie. I love the outdoors, a good cup of coffee, working in my wood shop, Chipotle burritos, and all things Cleveland sports.
For about nine years now, I’ve been blessed to be a part of the staff team at First Christian Church in the Pro Football Hall of Fame city of Canton, Ohio. As the Lead Pastor, it’s my honor to work and serve alongside some of the most talented leaders I’ve ever known, who have incredible hearts for Jesus and for people. I get to teach people about Jesus and how to connect the Word of God with everyday life, coach and invest in leaders, and cast vision and create strategies to move our church forward toward our goal of showing our community that Jesus is for all people!
This blog is where I write about what I’m learning about leadership, following Jesus, being a husband and a dad, and how Jesus speaks to all of it. I hope something you read here challenges, inspires, or blesses you.
“What I say is true, and you should fully accept it: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst. But I was given mercy so that in me, the worst of all sinners, Christ Jesus could show that he has patience without limit. His patience with me made me an example for those who would believe in him and have life forever.”
